Invites for Android 5.1 soak test go out to first-gen AT&T Motorola Moto X users?
According to a report published today, Motorola is looking for willing subjects that would allow them to soak test Android 5.1 on their AT&T branded first-generation Motorola Moto X. With the soak test, a limited number of AT&T's Moto X users will have their phone updated as Motorola monitors them for any issues. To be invited to take place in a soak test, you need to be a member of the Motorola Feedback Network.

Last month, Android 5.1 was sent out OTA to some owners of the first-generation Motorola Moto X in the U.S., Canada and Brazil. Unfortunately, that did not include AT&T owners of the handset. However, that could be taken care of inside of a week, assuming that there are no problems with the soak test. Meanwhile, in other countries the Android 5.1 update was pushed out for the first-generation Moto X at the beginning of this month.

Motorola has been working hard on tying up some loose ends. Recently, the Motorola DROID Turbo was updated to Android 5.1 and soak tests for the same build have been underway for the AT&T and Verizon branded second-generation Moto X, and the first-generation Motorola Moto G LTE.
