International Moto Z2 Force with 6GB RAM reportedly carries a 3.5mm headphone jack
Yesterday, Motorola and the four major U.S. carriers unveiled the Motorola Moto Z2 Force. While there are some new features like the dual camera setup in back, the pill shaped fingerprint sensor (as opposed to the square shaped button on last year's model), the Snapdragon 835 chipset inside, and the 64GB of native storage, one of the things that remains the same is the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For those who love the Moto Z2 Force but feel that the lack of the 3.5mm jack is a deal breaker, there is an interesting (but aggravating) rumor that was posted yesterday on Twitter. Citing various Lenovo and news sources, the author of the tweet says that the International version of the Moto Z2 Force will come with the headphone jack that is missing from the U.S. model. That is in addition to carrying 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. Unfortunately, this variant will not be officially offered in the U.S.

The upside for the U.S. unit, if this rumor is legit, is that it will be thinner than the overseas model. But we have to wonder how many stateside Moto Z2 Force buyers would rather have the headphone jack back and wield a phone that might be a few measly mm thicker.
