Internal Verizon document calls for possible July 9th launch date for Samsung Galaxy S III
When Verizon introduced the Samsung Galaxy S III on Monday, it failed to reveal the actual launch date for the phone. Now, a blurry internal Verizon document shows that pre-orders of the device will be shipped on July 9th, which could be the day that the unit launches for the nation's largest carrier. According to other sources, July 6th will be the date that the most anticipated Android model of the year becomes available.
If the early July dates are true, it will mean that Verizon customers will receive their variant of the Samsung Galaxy S III handsets more than two weeks afterT-Mobile and Sprint customers receive their units. Both of those carriers have announced a June 21st launch date for the device. On the other hand, Verizon and the other three major carriers will all begin taking pre-orders for the model on June 6th, while Best Buy has started accepting them now.
Verizon will offer both the marble white and pebble blue versions of the phone. The 16GB unit will be $199.99 on contract, while the 32GB model will run $249.99 on contract.
