Instagraph gets integrated with Metrogram for that whole Instagram experience on Windows Phone 8
Last month, we told you about the plan that Instagraph and Metrogram had to open up a "bi-directional integration" between the two sites. It sounds fancy, but all it really means is that Instagraph users would be able to seamlessly use Metrogram and vice versa. And the reason that this is important is that for a Instagram client for Windows Phone 8, Instagraph is really limited. By itself, you cannot open a new Instagram account with the app, and you are limited to three pictures taken a day. In addition, the app won't even let you view the pictures you've uploaded to Instagram.
But thanks to an update that was supposed to take place on Thursday evening, Instagraph has indeed integrated with Metrogram so that you can now look at your followers pictures and those of accounts you want to follow. You can search hashtags and accounts, and view your pictures that have been "liked". Additionally, the Instagraph update now allows you to select a different color for the photo border when you're at the crop page, add comments from Instagram feeds, modify your profile and receive live notifications. Windows Phone 7.x users can receive the update except for the Metrogram integration.
Metrogram is due for an update on Thursday night, and both apps need to be updated to the latest versions in order for the integration to work. Instagraph users just need to press on the "M" to see the Metrogram menu. A free trial of Instagraph is available with the regular price set at 99 cents. Metrogram is free.
If this all sounds too complicated, you can try Itsdagram which bills itself as a full Instagram client. All three apps can be found in the Windows Phone Store.
