Instagram makes it easier to reply with emojis on Android and iPhone
By now it's pretty clear that emojis are a thing and while all instant messengers and social apps have adopted them a long time ago, the way users interact with them is still being polished. Instagram has been testing a brand new emoji-related feature since May, but it only made it available to Android and iOS users this week.
The company announced recently that a new emoji shortcut bar is now rolling out to Android and iOS users. The shortcut bar will contain emoji that you're using most often so that you won't have to open the phone's keyboard to add an emoji in Instagram.
Once you update to the latest version of Instagram, you'll be able to reply with emojis by choosing one from the shortcut bar that's been placed right above the keyboard. The personalized emoji shortcut bar is deployed in waves, so it might not be available to everyone at once.
The important thing is Instagram decided to allow both Android and iOS users to take advantage of the new feature at the same time, so there's no development gap between the two major platforms.
