Instagram gets update to version 2.1 on App Store as Android version nears
Instagram, the extremely popular photography app and social network, has more than 15 million iOS users. And that number will be growing rapidly once the app becomes available in the Android Market, which as we told you, should be coming soon. Instagram, which had all of 4 employees as recently as August, has stepped up to version 2.1 which brings some new features.
One of the new features allows you to click on a button marked "Lux" in the lower left side in the photo editing view to make your picture sharper, enhancing the image. Another new filter, "Sierra" has been added to the app along with a "simplified and improved design". You can now change your profile picture from within the profile page, and you can tap on push notifications to go right to the photo.
The 2.1 version of Instagram is now available in the App Store for those who wish to update, or for first time users to install. The app is free. Instagram's first update last September, increased processing time by 200 fold.
