Inbox by Gmail beefs up trip features and attachments
Inbox by Gmail is a solid app that takes basic Gmail and supercharges it with built-in versions of a number of popular extensions (not to mention a solid dose of Mailbox UI tossed in). Two of its best features are how it bundles mail and surfaces relevant content from within messages, and that comes together well with the Trips section.
Now, not only will the Trips section show your flight/car rental/hotel info for a particular bit of travel, but Google has added two nice features there. First, you can manually add emails to a specific Trip. So, just in case Inbox doesn't properly bundle a trip, or if you want to add something extra like a to-do list or places you want to visit, you can do that as well. Also, Inbox is making it easier to share Trip details with others, so you can email your plans to people you're traveling with or visiting, or just your mom because she worries when you travel.
Additionally, Inbox is making it much easier to get at your recent photos and attach multiple images to an email. There will be a new tray to add images from, and it looks like it might be faster than the old menu too.
The update is rolling out now for Android users, but even once you get the update, you may not see the new features right away. Google said the features will be rolling out over the next week.
