A video of Internet Explorer 11 fromthe upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 Blue surfaced online. It seems thatthings have changed a bit around here:

  • The stop/refreshbutton now fits inside the address bar.
  • Password saving support hasbeen added.
  • There's a Reading View mode, which might be familiar to Safari users. It displays only the text content of websites for clutter-freereading. The text size and viewing style of both Reading Mode and regular browsing mode can be configured between Bright, Light, Medium, and Dark.

Windows Phone 8.1 will be a free"spring update" for all WP8 users, including entry andmid-level handsets. It will deliver an enormous list of updates and changes. Among the highlights are dual-SIM support, compatibility with all of Qualcomm's 32-bit chipsets, and Cortana, the Windows Phone voice assistant that's both sexy and smart.

Speaking of these updates, our own Michael H. has done an almost encyclopedic work of presenting everything we know about Windows Phone 8.1 in this article. Be sure to check it out for more information on what's in tow for Microsoft's mobile platform.
