Monday was a day where time was re-invented, or at least that is how the hype building up to an official announcement of the Apple Watch was trying to convey.
We already knew the watch was coming, and we already had rough ideas how much the various models of the watch were going to cost – reasonable to obscene is as good a price range as any.
The question remains though, should you get one? The Apple Watch is unlike any other Apple product, there are multiple options to choose from, even along the Apple Watch Sport line. There are two sizes to choose from, multiple colors, several different types of wrist straps, and the choices expand from there as the build materials become more precious.
Normally, Apple gives up two, or three different choices within a particular product. For the middle-tier Apple Watch, there are no less than 20. The Apple Watch Sport makes due with 10, and even if Apple has an idea about limiting options with the Watch Edition, it’s a safe bet that people getting ready to spend $10,000, or more, are going to want a few things their way.
Thankfully, the dynamic duo that is Nitrozac & Snaggy at The Joy of Tech has the situation well in-hand. Following their clearly delineated decision flow chart, you can determine which Apple Watch is for you, right down to the last option. Quick and painless, just the way the Apple faithful like it.
