Humble LG C100 messaging phone appears on LG's developer site
We didn't think LG can go any lower than the C300 Town, but the manufacturer's capabilities for low-end handsets seem inexhaustible. What you are seeing here is a QWERTY candybar, made for messaging and social networking purposes, which is heading to North America, Europe and most other places in the wide world.
The LG C100 (Nelson) will be a feature phone on the GSM EDGE standard, with a 2.2" LCD display, and a 5-way navigation key. The camera is 1.3MP, and it has music player, FM radio, and can play MPEG-4 video files.
The camera shoots video, and the phone supports microSD cards up to a 4GB size limit. Excited yet? So were we, until we saw the LG C100 doesn't have 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity, but, hey, it's got Bluetooth, and the price will surely be rock-bottom.
