On the day when the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G for T-Mobile was made official, a spy photo revealed that a smartphone known as Huawei Prism was also bound to join the carrier's lineup. And that was pretty much it: no photos, no specs, no projected release date.
However, a piece of the puzzle has already surfaced on the web. Here we have a leaked Huawei Prism press image, which the guys at TmoNews managed to obtain. Sadly, it seems like the smartphone is nothing but a low- to mid-range offering and will likely end up being offered under the T-Mobile brand. It appears to be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and we sure hope that an update to Ice Cream Sandwich is being planned. We know very little in terms of specs at this time, but its FCC filing revealed that it will come with a 3G radio, 1,400mAh battery and a microSD card slot.
So, even though the T-Mobile Prism is not official yet, we would expect it to be nothing more but an entry-level smartphone with a tempting price tag. Whether it will ever see the light of day, of course, is something that we have yet to see.
