Huawei P9 update adds camera improvements, optimizations
Huawei P9 continues to receive software improvements even two years after its market debut. Although it's unclear if the flagship will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo, Huawei keeps supporting the phone.
A new update is now rolling out to Huawei P9 (international model), which brings a couple of new features such as Highlights and Moving picture. The former allows users to search for images with keywords, including location, date and album name, in Gallery.
The new Moving picture feature enables Huawei P9 users to take dynamic photos in Standard mode. Aside from these two new functions, the update brings a new option to summarize moments in an album and a video in Gallery.
Also, a new feature has been added that automatically installs downloaded system updates between 2:00 – 4:00 AM when enabled if the smartphone is not in use. Some optimizations to settings and prompts related to Mirror reflection to select better selfies have been implemented too.

You can check for the update today, but keep in mind that Huawei rolls it out in waves, so it might not be available right away.
