In certain European markets, Huawei is giving buyers of the Huawei P8 three years of warranty protection. In the U.K., Huawei will give three years of protection to the first 5000 P8 buyers who register on the manufacturer's website. The coverage includes 24 hours turnaround time with a repaired device brought straight to the owner's front door.
In other countries, like Germany, Huawei is offering a three-year warranty with three free months of out of warranty insurance once those 36 months are over. In Italy, Huawei is offering its customers door to door pick up and delivery of P8 units that need to be repaired. Huawei's Head of Device Service for Western Europe says that the company is testing different warranty services to see which ones attract more customers.
Do you include the warranty protection as one of the factors you look at when deciding which new handset to buy? If you live in Western Europe, Huawei's three-year coverage might have you considering the new P8 for your next smartphone purchase.
