Huawei P8 Lite officially unveiled; India to get the Huawei P8, P8 Max, MediaPad X2 and more
Last month, the Huawei P8 and Huawei P8 Max were introduced. And while Huawei did say that the Huawei P8 Lite was coming, the model was not unveiled at the time. Although the Huawei P8 Lite was subsequently spotted in Germany and Hungary priced at the equivalent of $270 USD, the manufacturer made the phone official just today at the Premium South East Asia (SEA) launch Event in Bangkok.
The Huawei P8 Lite features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280, and has a 64-bit HiSilicon Kirin 620 SoC under the hood. This contains an octa-core 1.2GHz CPU and the Mali 450 MP4 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside with 16GB of expandable storage. A dual SIM model, the second SIM slot doubles as a microSD slot. A 13MP camera is on the back and a 5MP front-facing snapper handles selfies and video chats. The 2200mAh juicer keeps the lights running and the P8 Lite supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and NFC connectivity. Android 5.0.2 is pre-installed with Huawei's Emotion UI 3.1 skin running on top. The unit is svelte at 7.7mm thin, and it weighs 131 grams.
Before the Huawei phones hit India, the company's Talkband B2 activity and fitness tracker will be made available next month for the equivalent of $235 USD. The device also doubles as a Bluetooth earpiece.
