Huawei promised to bring important improvements to its Mate and P series starting this month, and it looks like the Chinese handset maker will deliver on that promise. Starting today, the P20 Pro is getting an update of major importance for gamers – the so-called GPU Turbo update.
Unveiled last month, the GPU Turbo update does what its name suggests, it adds GPU acceleration technology that will consistently boost gaming performance. In order to benefit from this performance boost, you'll have to enable game acceleration in Game Suite.
Aside from GPU Turbo acceleration, the update also brings the Game Suite app mentioned earlier, which should provide Huawei P20 Pro users with uninterrupted gaming experience, which means there won't be any notifications popping up on the screen.
Last but not least, Huawei included the July security patch, so if you were hoping for a newer update, you'll probably be disappointed. Keep in mind that GPU Turbo is not supported by too many games yet, but we know for sure that it's fully compatible with PUBG Mobile and MOBA Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
