Huawei P10 to be unveiled in Q2 of 2017?
The Huawei P10's specs were recently displayed on the GFXBench benchmark site. This morning, we passed along images of what is claimed to be a prototype of the P10, down to the dual-camera setup on the back. So just when will we see the sequel to the highly successful Huawei P9? According to Hawa Hyath, who is Huawei's marketing director for sub-Saharan Africa, the phone will be unveiled next year.
Hyath adds that in South Africa, Huawei's focus will be on the Huawei Nova which will hit that market on February 2nd. And after that, the newly unveiled Huawei Mate 9 will be introduced in the region. That means that the company will probably be too busy with those two models to push out the P10 globally, until the second quarter of 2017. But that isn't terribly shocking. After all, the P9 was unveiled and released last April.

One interesting note. The Huawei marketing director confirmed that the P10 will be powered by Huawei's top-of-the-line homegrown Kirin 960 chipset with an octa-core 2.3GHz CPU and the Mali-G71 GPU. We also expect the phone to carry a 5.5-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution screen. Two versions are expected, one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The other will feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. A dual-camera set up is expected on back.
