When the Huawei P9 was launched in early April, the handset included a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone. While it might seem way too soon to start wondering about the Huawei P10, you might recall that it was in October 2015 when we first showed you labels for the P9 indicating that there would be a dual camera setup on back. That was about six months before the P9 was released.
Today's rumor surfaces about 10 months before we might see the Huawei P10. Nevertheless, it states that this time the fingerprint scanner will be found on the front of the device, most likely embedded in the phone's home button.
The fingerprint scanner on the Huawei P9 is found on the rear panel, underneath the Leica branded dual camera setup. Speaking of which, so far there is no word on whether the P10 will also offer the two cameras on the back. On the P9, both rear cameras are 12MP with one shooting photos in monochrome only, which helps the camera collect more accurate data about the lighting for a snapshot.
