Huawei Nova Plus arriving in Canada on October 18
One of the best mid-range Android smartphones announced by Huawei earlier this month at IFA 2016, the Nova Plus is going to make its debut in Canada next month.
The Chinese handset maker announced today that Huawei Nova Plus will be available at Rogers, Virgin Mobile and Fido, as early as October 18.
"We are pleased to have Rogers, Virgin Mobile and Fido carrying the new Huawei NOVA Plus. We continue to see a growing demand for Huawei smartphones in Canada and we are confident the new NOVA Plus will bring Canadians the same high quality features and stylish design that have helped make Huawei one of the world's most popular smartphone brands," said Huawei Canada President Sean Yang.
Although the Nova Plus will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box, there's a chance Huawei will upgrade it to Android 7.0 Nougat in the following months.
Another highlight of the mid-range smartphone is the 16-megapixel rear-facing camera that features OIS (optical image stabilization), as well as 4K video recording. There's also a no less impressive 8-megapixel camera in the front, which should be perfect for state-of-the-art selfies.
Huawei Nova Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB.
Even though there is no word on price, it's worth noting that Huawei announced the Nova Plus will be available in Europe for €430 outright.

The Nova Plus sports a large 5.5-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, which features an Eye Protection mode that should put less strain on the user's eyes after longer periods of use.
