Huawei Mate 9 once again is rumored to be coming in December with Kirin 960 SoC, dual 20MP snappers
According to a leak out of China, the Huawei Mate 9 is going to be a beast of a phone. Expected to be released by the end of the year, the device will be powered by the home grown Kirin 960 SoC according to the report. The chipset is said to be made using the 16nm process, and the octa-core CPU will feature Cortex-A73 cores. In addition, the device will carry dual 20MP rear-facing cameras. These snappers will include OIS and feature Color and Black and White mode.

Additionally, an alleged teaser for the phone surfaced on Weibo. However, the image on the teaser is actually that of the Huawei Mate 8, so we can quickly eliminate that as being fake.

What we can't quickly dismiss are the aforementioned specs. Analyst Pan Jiutang called for a December launch of the Kirin 960 SoC powered Mate 9 back in April. At the same time, he also said that the phone would carry dual 20MP cameras on back. So once we put the information from Weibo out of mind, we are left with some very viable specs for the upcoming Huawei Mate 9.
