Huawei Mate 20 Lite shows its notch in first press renders
Huawei is no stranger to the notch, as the Chinese company recently launched the nova 3i, a mid-range smartphone with a slightly larger notch than the top-tier P20 series. Apparently, Huawei has decided to extend the notch to the Mate 20 series too, so at least one of the phones will feature the notch.

Pictures of the Huawei Mate 20 Lite confirm the presence of the notch. Even if this is likely to be the cheapest Mate 20 series phone, it will still be more expensive than the nova 3i that costs around €300.

The Mate 20 Lite's base price is said to be €400, but the specs are higher than the nova 3i's. The former sports a huge 6.3-inch LCD display with at least 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. Hardware-wise, the Mate 20 Lite packs a 2.2GHz octa-core Kirin 710 processor, 6GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage.

Unsurprisingly, the Mate 20 Lite has four cameras – two in the front and two on the back side. The dual rear camera features a 20MP and a 2MP cameras, while in the front there's a 24MP snapper and another 2MP camera for depth effects. The phablet runs Android 8.0 Oreo and is powered by a 3,650 mAh battery.

The middle-class premium Huawei Mate 20 Lite is covered in glass (back and front) and features metal frames. It will be available in black and gold (additional colors may be added) in late August for €400/$400.
