First Huawei Mate 10 teaser video reveals new Leica-branded camera
After the well-received Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro, Huawei is now readying the release of a brand new Mate series, naturally called Mate 10. As of today, we can take a look at the very first official teaser video for the upcoming smartphone family.
As you can see above, the teaser comes from Huawei Mobile Germany, thus being in German. In this short video, Huawei tells us that "the new Mate series" will come with an "ultimate camera," and it even briefly shows the camera - a dual Leica-branded one.
Similar to the camera of the Mate 9, it looks like the new unit includes a 12 MP color sensor, and a 20 MP monochrome sensor. Of course, we assume that Huawei has made various improvements to push image quality up, especially since the camera of the Mate 9 didn't blow us away (although it's certainly a good camera).
Leica-branded camera aside, the Huawei Mate 10 is expected to feature an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor, a Quad HD "EntireView" display of around 6 inches, lots of RAM, plenty of storage space, and a generous battery.
The Mate 10 should be officially announced on October 16, and Huawei will probably start selling it shortly after that.
