The Huawei Ascend P8 is expected to get officially unveiled at a big event in London on April 15th, but an image showing the design of the upcoming device has leaked out and it shows a beautifully crafted phone with a metal frame and an interesting, glazed back coating.
This image of the Ascend P8 comes from the depths of the Chinese rumor mill, and it was dug out by serial leakster of French origins @OnLeaks, so chances are that it is close to authentic. Do keep in mind that this picture portrays a pre-release prototype of the Ascend P8, though, and the final phone might differ.
So far, rumors suggest that the Huawei Ascend P8 will feature the following specs:
Android 5.0 Lollipop with Huawei Emotion UI
5.2-inch 1080 x 1920-pixel display
ceramic unibody construction
a setup of two 13MP cameras on the back
Huawei Kirin 930 SoC with an octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM,
2600mAh battery
We are yet to see more of this interesting two-camera setup that should allow for some neat computational photography effects, so do stay tuned.
