Huawei (Ascend) Mate 8 possibly caught in the wild
Released in September 2014, the Ascend Mate7 is one of Huawei's best mobile products ever, and one of the most interesting extra-large smartphones we've seen lately. Last month, we told you that Huawei may already have a successor to the Mate7. Now, a few more images that allegedly show this successor popped up somewhere in China.

While the images don't allow us to see the new device in all its glory, it seems that there aren't too many differences, design-wise, between it and the Mate7. It's said that Huawei will stop using the Ascend brand, so the upcoming device could be simply called Huawei Mate 8. Or, who knows, maybe the company intends to include the Mate 8 into its Honor series (which, by the way, will be officially introduced in the US later this year).

There's no info on what features the upcoming Mate will bring. However, seeing how Huawei chief Yu Chengdong recently dissed Quad HD displays, we can probably safely assume that the handset will have a 1080p screen.

The P8 and Honor 2X are two other Android devices that Huawei is reportedly getting ready to release soon. Perhaps all three Huawei handsets will be introduced at the same time? We'll just have to wait and see.
