Honor, the exquisite brand owned by Huawei, recently confirmed a launch event scheduled for April 5. The Chinese company is expected to launch a new smartphone in Europe, which might not be that new after all.

The event held by Honor Western Europe will be live-streamed starting at 10:30 GMT. Although Honor didn't reveal the name of the phone it will announce on April 5, the company is running a poll asking fans which smartphone they are likely to launch in Europe early next month.

Honor V9 seems to lead the poll with nearly 30 votes, followed by Honor Magic with less than 10 votes. The list goes on and mentions other smartphones like Honor 8 Pro, Honor 6C and Honor 8 Lite.

The first two Honor smartphones leading the poll are already available for purchase in China, but one of them might be introduced in Europe next month.

Previous rumors point to Honor V9 as the next smartphone to make its debut in Europe. However, the handset is expected to arrive as Honor 8 Pro, so there's that.

If Honor V9 is indeed the smartphone introduced in April, then European will finally have access to one of the most powerful handsets launched by the Chinese company up to date.

At the heart of the Honor V9 sits a powerful Kirin 960 processor, coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB internal memory (expandable via microSD card). Moreover, the smartphone boasts a stunning 5.7-inch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, and dual-camera setup comprising of two 12MP sensors.

The Honor V9 is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box. A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is included as well.
