Honor 9 and 8 Pro start getting EMUI 8 update, 7X and 8 scheduled for Q2
Honor has just confirmed a few of its smartphones are now being updated with the new EMUI 8. The company's new user interface comes with Android Oreo, although some Honor smartphones will only be getting some of the EMUI 8's features without Oreo.
However, if you don't own the Honor 8, you should be safe since Honor plans to update eight of its smartphones to Android Oreo. In any case, Honor France has just announced that the EMUI 8 roll-out has just started and the first smartphones to get the update are the Honor 9 and 8 Pro.
Furthermore, the handset maker confirmed that two other smartphones, the Honor 7X and 8, will get the same update in the second quarter. Unfortunately, we still don't know if the EMUI 8 update for the Honor 8 will include Android Oreo as well, so we'll just have to wait and see.
Even though the announcement was made by Honor France, we can safely assume the update will be slowly rolled out all over Europe in the coming days.
