Here's the first LG G4 drop test
The LG G4 is not made out of metal (like some of its direct competitors, including the Samsung Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9, and the iPhone 6), but does that mean it's a fragile device? Well, someone decided to put the G4 through a couple of drop tests to answer this question.
At first, the G4 was dropped from about 5 feet (1.5 meters) on one of its sides. The second drop - from about the same height - was made with the handset's 5.5-inch screen facing the ground.
We're not going to spoil the results, as you can see the drops (and the aftermath) for yourself in the video below. However, we'll just mention that the display of the G4 is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, not the newer Gorilla Glass 4.
While the LG G4 is already available to buy in some markets, it hasn't been released in the US yet. But the smartphone will go on sale Stateside soon, via all major carriers. Are you planning to get one? Perhaps our LG G4 review will help you decide!
