Cyber Monday phone deals 2024: Recap

Cyber Monday is over, and it's time to share some highlights of the event. This year's savings event was absolutely astonishing in terms of how much users could save, with some of the best Samsung phones getting discounts of $400 and up.

Of course, it wasn't just Galaxy models that received plenty of discount love this December. Exciting Cyber Monday phone deals were available on multiple Motorola, Google Pixel, and Apple models, to mention a few. Stay with us to learn more info on the hottest phone deals we saw this Cyber Monday.

We didn't get crazy-good discounts on many of the best Galaxy phones only on Black Friday. Most sales continued through Cyber Monday, allowing Samsung fans to snatch the Galaxy S24 FE for $200 off its usual price at the Samsung Store. For those who want an anti-reflective visual experience, the Galaxy S24 Ultra was $400 off at the official store. This promo was only available in Online Exclusive colorways. 

Cyber Monday Samsung phone promotions also included a $158 price cut on the vanilla Galaxy S24 at Amazon and a $800 discount on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The foldable phone could only be bought at the official store and the Samsung Shop app at such hefty discounts.

Galaxy A models were just as attractive on Cyber Monday. The budget-friendly Galaxy A25 dropped by $50 at Amazon, while Best Buy allowed shoppers to save $100 on the Galaxy A35 or buy the Galaxy A15 for as low as $69.99.

As usual, Motorola had a wide selection of deeply discounted phones on Cyber Monday. In fact, while most phones typically get a lower price cut after the Black Friday weekend, some Moto handsets received bigger markdowns on December 2nd. 

For instance, the Motorola Edge (2024) received a hefty $250 price cut at the official store. At Motorola.com, we also noticed a 25% markdown on the Moto G 5G (2024) and a $180 price cut on the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023). 

Cyber Monday Motorola phone deals spanned beyond mid-range and budget-friendly options. This December, users could also buy the Motorola Razr+ (2024) for $250 off or pick last year's Razr Plus for only $499.99 instead of $999.99. This bargain allowed shoppers to save $500 without activation at Best Buy. 

Black Friday saw virtually all contemporary OnePlus phones available in the US at lower prices, and things were just the same on December 2nd. That's to say, you could save $500 on the OnePlus Open or score $250 off the OnePlus 12. 

The more affordable OnePlus 12R wasn't left out, and you could get it for $100 off. There was even a $300 price cut on the OnePlus 11, a deal we saw exclusively at the OnePlus Store.

Pixel deals for Cyber Monday were just as awesome as Motorola phone sales this December. On Cyber Monday, Amazon launched a $200 price cut on the Pixel 9 Pro, while its larger sibling, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, was $250 off. Those who didn't mind getting the non-Pro model could save 20% on the Pixel 9. As for foldable phone enthusiasts, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold was $300 off at Amazon.

Of course, the latest Google Pixel phones weren't the only ones on sale. December's savings event also saw the Pixel 8 drop by $200, and the Pixel 8a was $100 more affordable. With such juicy discounts, Cyber Monday was definitely a great time to buy a new Pixel handset.

Unlike other years, we saw amazing Cyber Monday iPhone promos this year. Just like on Black Friday, the best discounts on Apple smartphones went live at carriers like Verizon. This year, users could grab the iPhone 16 Pro Max for only $5/mo instead of $28.33/mo with new line activation and select Unlimited plans. The iPhone 16 Pro was an equally exciting pick, retailing for $0.00/mo instead of $27.77/mo. 

Users who didn't mind getting an older model were in luck as well. For instance, the iPhone 13 was only $99.99 at Boost Mobile with Unlimited Premium plans. That bargain could save iOS fans a whopping $530.

Aside from the popular brands, Cyber Monday saw merchants launching discounts on Nothing, Asus, and other brands. This December, we saw a smashing $170 price cut on the Nothing Phone (2). The more affordable Phone (2a) was discounted at Amazon as well, offered for $50 off its usual price.

At the same seller, we came across a 23% markdown on the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro. There was even a 20% discount on the HMD Skyline 5 at Amazon.

Which retailers launch the best Cyber Monday phone deals?

In short, all of them! From official stores like Oneplus, Motorola, and Samsung to the major US carriers and the largest online merchants like Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart, discounts on hot phones are virtually everywhere!

Is Cyber Monday a good time to get a new phone?

Yes, definitely! Cyber Monday deals at Best Buy and Amazon, especially, are rocking, and such discounts are not available outside of these sales. Even carriers have better deals during shopping events, including Cyber Monday.

Then again, don't forget that the event prior to Cyber Monday, Black Friday, typically unfolds better discounts than Cyber Monday itself. But if you can't find the phone you want to get at a lower price during Black Friday, you can expect it to be discounted on Cyber Monday.
