Having trouble with your GPS after the iOS 8.4 update? Here are three fixes to try
Those sweet tunes you've been hearing since the iOS 8.4 update brought the revamped Music app to your iPhone or iPad, might start sounding sour once you try to establish a GPS signal when using navigation apps like Apple Maps, Google Maps and Waze. Apple Support forums have been full of stories from iOS 8.4 users unable to use turn-by-turn navigation and other features found on such apps. Those complaining say that GPS is not usable following the update.

Luckily, you do have three options that just might help you get your GPS working again. One solution is to "Reset Network Settings." To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Doing this will reset your Wi-Fi and network passwords, but just might get your GPS working again.

If the above doesn't work, you can turn Location Services off and then back on. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and turn off Location Services. Restart your iPhone or iPad, go back to Location Services and turn it back on. And if that doesn't work, there is the dreaded "Restore to iOS 8.4". First, make sure you have everything backed up using iTunes or iCloud. Then, using iTunes, restore fresh to iOS 8.4. While no one in their right mind likes to perform this operation, it just might solve your problem with the GPS feature on your iPhone or iPad.

Actually, there is a fourth option, but it won't resolve your problem quickly. You can sit back and wait for Apple to send out a fix, although that means not having your favorite navigation apps at your beck and call until a patch arrives from Cupertino.
