HTC will rock the stage at MWC 2015 with the One (M8) successor on March 1st
Guess what's about to happen on March 1st! Okay, everyone has their own story about what's going to happen on this special day, but HTC's story is the one we're eager to hear. The company is inviting everyone that's interested to join it at the upcoming MWC 2015 for an announcement that surely gravitates towards the high end of things.

The invite itself shows a bright, star-filled cosmic landscape (it's pretty much that OS X wallpaper you know, but let's not get cynical) decorated with the words "utopia in progress". This makes HTC the first smartphone maker to step forward and proclaim its intentions to rock the stage at MWC 2015 with its next flagship product. Out of such an invite, we expect nothing less than the successor to the HTC One (M8). The predictions seem to be coming true. The HTC Hima, which is the product's tentative name, is expected to feature a 1440 x 2560 QHD screen, 3GB of RAM and an octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU.

An Adreno 430 GPU will handle graphics while Android 5.0 with the Sense 7.0 interface is expected to be featured out of the box. A 20.7MP rear-facing camera should find itself at the back of the unit, with a 13MP front-facing snapper included. The purported 2840mAh seems small for such a beast, but the device could be optimized to get better longevity out of it, similarly to the HTC One (M8).
