HTC to upgrade Hero to Android 2.0
In a short but sweet tweet (pun intended) HTC confirmed that they will be upgrading the Hero to Android 2.0. HTC said that they are working on upgrading the Sense UI found on the handset, to work on the new so-called "Eclair" operating system. From the message sent out on Twitter by the Taiwanese manufacturer, it appears that the device will skip right over Android 1.6 and go right to 2.0. The new OS will feature the Google Navigation system with spoken turn-by-turn directions. Other improvements will be seen in the browser with a new 'double tap to zoom' capability, and in the camera where you will find support for digital zoom, color effect and macro focus.
