HTC releases the stock ROM for the Tilt 2
Much like other platforms, Windows Mobile users are able to enhance the experience on their handsets by installing custom ROMS. Not only will it allow you to obtain a slight visual difference from other owners, it may add some new functionality that isn't widely recognized. In some rare instances, these custom ROMS can have adverse effects on your device – at its worst, it can potentially turn your expensive smartphone into a worthless, but extremely expensive, paper weight. If you happen to own the HTC Tilt 2 for AT&T and find yourself stuck in limbo with a problem stemming from a custom ROM, HTC is swooping in to rescue you from a potential pitfall. HTC officially released the stock ROM for the AT&T Tilt 2 that will re-flash your hardware back to its first out of the box experience in the event you need hardware or software support. It's definitely a nice gesture for them to be so kind – especially after ditching their standard ROM for others.
