UPDATE: The HTC U12+ update that made it to Taiwan initially is now rolling out in the United States. The changelog shows it's exactly the same update with the same improvements, but a different version number. Enjoy!
Great news for HTC fans who are actively using the company's latest flagship, the
U12+, as a new update is now making its way to devices in various parts of the world. If you live in Taiwan, you'll most likely receive the update right away, otherwise, you'll have to wait a while longer.
HTC's Global PR
Jeff Gordon has just confirmed that the update is currently rolling out to the Taiwan dual-SIM model and will be released in other regions, including Europe and North America, over the next few weeks.
The update brings camera auto zoom in video recording, improvements to the pressure sensitive buttons and Edge Sense, as well as
June security patch. It's also worth mentioning that the update weighs in at 422MB, so it shouldn't take too long to download on the phone.
If you live in Europe or North America, don't check for the update, as it won't arrive this week according to HTC. Still, at least you now know what to expect from the upcoming update meant to improve some of the
U12+ features.
