For those early adopters that managed to pick up the HTC Flyer and its optional, yet pricey HTC Scribe Pen, they might be soon kicking themselves because Best Buy is now including the stylus for free with the purchase of the HTC Flyer tablet.
Even though the big box retailer is still selling the HTC Scribe Pen separately at $79.99, you get a discount by purchasing the package deal that includes it and the HTC Flyer – all for $499.99! Of course, those who picked up both items on launch day shelled out the full $499.99 cost of the Flyer, and an additional $79.99 for the HTC Scribe Pen. Indeed a nice gesture from Best Buy, it basically matches Sprint’s offering with the cellular connected HTC EVO View 4G.
Obviously, the $500 price tag associated now with the package is indeed something easy to tolerate and makes the purchase more than accepting versus before. New owners will indeed be filled with joy about all of this, but of course, those early adopters will always be paying the price for their desire to be the first.
