Cincinnati Bell customers have something to look forward today because the regional carrier is adding a 4G enabled Android smartphone, which of course, should go very nicely with the recent introduction of 4G connectivity in its home market.
Out of the shadows, the HTC Panache 4G is now available for purchase for the 2-year on-contract price of $199.99 after rebates. Known as the HTC Glacier for regional carriers, this handset still has plenty of appeal with its second generation 1GHz Snapdragon chipset, 3.8” WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera, front facing VGA camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and HSDPA/HSUPA support.
Previously, the handset was exclusive to Canadian carrier Mobilicity, but now that it managed to sneak across the border to our side, it should find itself a nice home with Cincinnati Bell. All in all, the HTC Panache 4G will undoubtedly get a lot of face time with its decent hardware.
