HTC PI39200 is spotted over at the FCC with support for AT&T 3G - possibly the HTC Runnymede
With less than a day left before HTC throws its party in London tomorrow, where it’s being reported they’re unveiling something sweet, we find something tantalizing hanging out over at the FCC that might point us in the correct direction.
By now, we’ve heard and seen plenty of things related to the monstrous HTC Runnymede, which might possibly come to market as the HTC Sensation XL, but a recent FCC filing potentially give us some insight as to where it’s heading. Specifically, the filing shows a specific device named the HTC PI39200, which is believed of course to be the HTC Runnymede. Moreover, it’s found to offer support for AT&T’s 3G bands – albeit, it’s not always guaranteed that it will end up coming to them.
Even if it doesn’t exactly pan out for AT&T, there’s always a possibility that it’ll go live with the numerous Canadian carriers up north – or maybe, we’ll find it being sold as an unsubsidized model of some sort. Whichever way it goes, we should know just a tiny bit more in the very near future.
