HTC One Max specs may not include a Snapdragon 800
There have been plenty of leaks concerning the upcoming HTC One Max, which is the phablet that HTC has in the works. The specs of the device have been somewhat up in the air though. The hope has been that the Max would include a Snapdragon 800, because of course people want the best. But, a new leak indicates that may not be the case.
This one come straight from China Mobile via Weibo, so this one carries a bit more weight than the normal rumor. The image sent out lays out a few specs for the HTC One Max. Most of it we've seen before like the 5.9-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, 3300mAh battery, and Android 4.3. The interesting difference here is that it lists the processor as 1.7GHz. The Snapdragon 800 doesn't run that slowly, but it could be an S4 Pro or perhaps a Snapdragon 600.
The leak also says that the HTC One Max will be released in October, and will sell for 4999 yuan, which would be about $815. Though, we obviously don't expect that to be the off-contract pricing in the U.S.
