Reports out of China suggest that the HTC One E9 will be released next month in the country. Sporting a 5.5-inch screen, the One E9 doesn't come with the 1440 x 2560 resolution QHD glass found on the HTC One E9+. Nor does it feature the 1080 x 1920 FHD screen found on the HTC One M9. Instead, the HTC One E9 comes with a 720 x 1280 HD display.
An octa-core 1.5GHz CPU drives the handset, which features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. A 13MP camera adorns the back of the phone, and the 4MP Ultrapixel camera once found on the back of the HTC One (M7) and HTC One (M8), is relegated to the front of the One E9. Android 5.0 is pre-installed.
The HTC One E9 is obviously designed for a different crowd than the HTC One E9+. Besides the higher resolution screen on the latter, the E9+ features a 20MP rear-facing camera and a 13MP front-facing camera. It also has 3GB of RAM.
We should soon hear about a specific release date for the HTC One E9, followed by the price. Stay tuned.
