HTC Nexus 9 tablet confirmed by Taiwan regulators
Taiwan's NCC (National Communications Commission) is the country's equivalent to the U.S. FCC. On Monday, a screenshot from the NCC leaked, revealing that a Nexus 9 tablet made by Taiwan's own HTC had paid a visit to the agency. The model number, "0P82100", matches one seen on a similar tablet that was approved by the (RRA) Radio Research Agency in South Korea.
Just the other day, we told you that the Nexus 9 has passed through the U.S. FCC, powered by a 64-bit Tegra K1 SoC. Earlier today, we passed along a leaked image allegedly showing the back cover of the tablet, which is expected to have Android L pre-installed.
HTC will be holding an event on Wednesday that is expected to yield a new rugged action camera, and quite possibly the HTC Desire EYE. The latter is supposedly HTC's "selfie" phone, with a 13MP front-facing camera. Perhaps we could see the HTC Nexus 9 become part of the "Double Exposure" event that is just two days away.
Thanks for the tip!
