HTC EVO 4G won't be able to use voice and data at the same time
Sprint customers thought that they were about to get a taste of something that AT&T customers have long been accustomed to having as they have the ability to talk and surf the web simultaneously on their handsets. Unfortunately the blow comes to all of those Sprint customers who thought that the HTC EVO 4G would finally be able to offer them the same experience seeing that it offered support for 4G data services – one feature that can't be overlooked by anyone. HTC has confirmed the news and crushed some hopes in the process as they've said, “If you're using 4G for data, you can't use CDMA for voice. Currently the only way to do simultaneous voice and data would be through a third-party VOIP solution. However, this is not due to strict hardware limitations, so it's possible this could change with future updates.” Now the key thing to look at is the fact that HTC states that it's not due to hardware limitations – which then points the finger to someone else; Sprint. In any case, there's still a slight possibility for something to happen down the road – but in the mean time, just expect to see AT&T continue to showcase how their devices are capable of doing it.
