HTC Desire 826 unveiled in China; phone will launch on January 29th
The HTC Desire 826 was unveiled in China on Tuesday after being initially outed at CES in Las Vegas earlier this month. The mid-range model features a large 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. A 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU drives the handset, and the Adreno 405 GPU handles graphics. 2GB of RAM is on board along with 16GB/32GB of native storage. A 128GB capacity microSD slot is available for those requiring additional memory.

HTC has affixed a 13MP camera on the back of the Desire 826, but the front-facing camera is the 4MP Ultrapixel snapper familiar to many HTC One (both M7 and M8) users. A 2600mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 5.0 is pre-installed. This makes the HTC Desire 826 the first Desire model to feature Android 5.0 right out of the box.

With support for dual SIM, dual standby and 4G connectivity, the HTC Desire 826 will launch in the region on January 29th. The 16GB model will be priced at the equivalent of $368.25 USD while the 32GB version will carry the equivalent of a $400 USD price tag.
