HTC ChaCha gets an extra “Cha” in Spain
The HTC ChaCha is causing enough troubles so far with its name after HTC got sued over copyright infringement by ChaCha Search Inc. The folks at HTC may have not done enough researching when picking the best name, since now they have decided to announce the smartphone as the HTC ChaChaCha to the Spanish market. An exact reason for the extra “Cha” has not been stated by the manufacturer, but the most obvious cause for the change seems to be the fact that chacha is a Spanish slang word for a servant, which can sometimes be viewed as vulgar and derogatory.
The HTC ChaCha stands out as one of the first two handsets ever, along with the HTC Salsa, to get a dedicated Facebook button. Both handsets are expected to be seen on AT&T's shelves sometimes this summer.
