HTC Butterfly 3 with 5.2-inch 1440x2560 display rumored by @upleaks
While we already have two wallpapers sourced (allegedly) from the HTC One M9 that seemingly confirm a 1080x1920 resolution for the upcoming flagship, a new @upleaks tweet claims the company is eyeing a 5.2-inch 1440x2560 (QHD) screen for another unannounced smartphone, the HTC Butterfly 3. That would make for a crisp, crazy pixel-dense display, but the question is are we going to see it on the global market? HTC Butterfly smartphones are known to be an Asian region exclusive, designed primarily with Japan and China's specs-intensive markets in mind.
That's a good question, as previous rumors have pointed towards an HTC One M9 Plus with a large 5.5-inch QHD screen as its centerpiece. Which leads to another question - what will HTC announce at its March 1st event? With new Desire phones, Butterfly phones, flagship phones, and its first-ever wearables in the pipeline, the little Taiwanese company that could might end up with the biggest round of product announcements at MWC 2015.
