As we reported, Sprint customers should have their Windows Phone 7 handset updated to Mango sometime within the next week. With both AT&T and Verizon expected to receive the Windows Phone Mango update on September 27th, perhaps those using Sprint should be circling that date on their calendar, as well. With the software update this close to happening, you might expect Microsoft to have a few units out in the real world that have already been through the metamorphosis.
Sure enough, a forum member from WPCentral, who happens to live in Las Vegas, walked into a Sprint store in Sin City. Perhaps lady luck was with this person because he happened to find an HTC Arrive unit already updated with Windows Phone Mango, also known as OS version 7.10.7720.68. While Sprint has yet to announce a specific day for the update, it looks like it will be soon enough that Windows Phone 7 users should keep an eye out for it.
