HP web connected printers allow smartphones to email printing materials to them
Printing material from a smartphone is still relatively uncommon as consumers still rely on using computers to accomplish that task. HP of course is a big player in the world of printers, but they are about to embark on a new endeavor to popularize the notion of printing via smartphones. According to the New York Times, HP is in the process of building out a new line of web-connected printers that will bring smartphones and printing into the mainstream. They will be able to accomplish this as they provide each printer with its own specific email address so that smartphone users can email documents and a bevy of other content to it. Once the printer receives it, printing will commence and will be ready upon your arrival – which makes it quite convenient for those that are always on the go and unable to have access to a computer. It's speculated that these new printers will sell for around $100 to $400, but there was no mention of any launch dates for them. Naturally HP may have a thing going for them if they are able to capitalize on this new technology as more and more consumers rely on their smartphones more than anything else.
