HP TouchPad gets $50 slashed off its price online; Amazon goes even lower
It may have been only a month since the HP TouchPad was released, but the tablet has already been given the instant savings treatment. Presumably in order to boost their device's sales, HP has dropped the price of the TouchPad to $450 for the 16-gigabyte model and $550 for its 32-gigabyte version. That is $50 less than what the tablet was initially priced at, but if you feel like going even lower, Amazon can give you a better deal.
The online retailer is selling the 32-gig HP TouchPad for exactly $539.51, which is an offer that is yet to be beaten. How long will the tablet be offered through Amazon at this price, however, is not exactly clear, yet the deal over at HP's official online store will be valid until September 10.
So, if you have been looking for the right time to give the HP TouchPad a shot, this might just be it. Its price has been slashed, webOS is being updated as we write these lines, and the issues with the faulty plastic housing of the device are already being addressed. Nevertheless, if you are still not quite sure about it, feel free to check out our HP TouchPad review.
