Since Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the device of the moment for many Android fans, the HP Elite x3 could be one of the most powerful Windows 10 Mobile smartphones recently launched and one of the preferred devices for Microsoft fans.
The Elite x3 will be available in some European countries, but also in the United States, so if you're still interested in Windows 10 Mobile, then the HP Elite x3 could be the perfect flagship for you.
One thing that HP hasn't been able to include within the Elite x3 is the Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update. But that's not the company's fault since this major update has only been released last week.
The good news is those who purchase the Elite x3 will be able to download and install Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update “on or about September 13,” according to HP. That's about two weeks from now if HP keeps its promise.
Here is a quick rundown of what HP's high-end smartphone has to offer in terms of spec. First of all, the phablet boasts a huge 5.96-inch AMOLED display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.
Under the hood, the Elite x3 doesn't disappoints either. The smartphone packs a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card.
Also, HP has included both fingerprint and iris scanners, but also an USB 3.0 type C port for faster connectivity. The Elite x3 has been rated IP67 for dust and water resistance, but it has also received MIL-STD-810G certification for sturdiness.
On the back, there's a 16-megapixel camera with LED flash and all sorts of extra features for smooth photo shooting. Selfie addicts will be pleased to know HP hasn't overlooked this aspect and added an 8-megapixel camera in the front.
If you aren't yet aware of the new features and improvements that Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update will bring, then you should check out the full changelog.
