HMD Global to release new Nokia phones simultaneously in 120 markets in April-June period
With the MWC almost a month ago now, HMD Global has made a statement about possible release details for its Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 models. A recent announcement holds that the company is allegedly looking at a simultaneous launch of the devices in 120 markets. Nonetheless, HMD’s highly ambitious plan may see slightly different dates in different parts of the world, but still within the April-June period. However, we are in the know that it's unlikely to see the handsets hit shelves before the second half of Q2. A couple of days ago, Clove UK confirmed this, publishing information on its website that points at May releases for Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, with Nokia 6 not available before June.
We got some hands-on time with the devices at the MWC and already know a few things about about the expected specs (Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Nokia 3310), and now know for sure that the phones are indeed coming to the US market. The upcoming Nokia range seems to attract a lot of interest amongst old-time fans of the brand and Android users, alike. The phones present decent low- to mid-tier smartphone choices, with Nokia 6 selling at €229 (still only available in China, though), and Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 rocking under-$200 price tags.
