HBO Go now available for iOS and Android
Remember when people used to complain that there wasn't anything good to watch on television? Now, we hear complaints that there is never any thing good to watch on a smartphone. But the HBO Go app plans on changing that by bringing 1400 of the cable channel's original programs and tons of movies to your iOS or Android phone. While the app is free, you do need to subscribe to HBO through your cable system. Android users need to have a phone running Android 2.1 or higher.
The HBO Go app allows you to create a personalized Watchlist so that you can watch HBO programming on your schedule. For those of you who love the cable channel's original shows but can never find the time to sit down at home and watch them-even with a DVR-HBO Go will be an invaluable application.
As we reported, the original launch date was expected to be May 2nd, but there is nothing wrong with something launching a few days early, is there? Now the only question is whether or not we will see similar apps coming from some of the other cable channels.
