Gwent: The Witcher Card Game arrives for iOS in October
Gwent, the minigame in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, featuring collectible cards that players must gather throughout their adventures, will be making its iOS debut on October 29 developer CD Projekt RED announced today.
If you're familiar with The Witcher series but haven't heard about Gwent, let's just say that this is a card game in the same vein as Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering. However, Gwent relies heavily on strategy and tactics, as two armies clash on the battlefield, so your skill will be your greatest weapon.
The iOS version of Gwent will feature controls reimagined for the touch interface. Also, if you plan to play on PC and iPhone at the same time, you'll be happy to know that progress and purchases are shared between these platforms, but you'll have to own a GOG account, which is entirely free.
Moreover, if you play Gwent on one of the most recent iPhones, you'll be able to enjoy Gwent's built-in 4K textures. You can still play Gwent if you're rocking one of the compatible iOS devices: iPhone 6S or newer (including iPhone 11), iPad Mini 4 and newer, iPad 5th generation and newer, iPad Air 2 and newer, as well as iPad Pro devices.
Gwent is already available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will arrive for iOS on October 29. You can already pre-order the game on App Store to get it on your iOS device once it's released next month.
