Grand Theft Auto makes for more carnage on the iPhone
One of the most successful gaming franchises is hitting up the iPhone where it intends on showcasing the phone’s depth and appeal to gamers. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars brings all the carnage of what its console version offers – all neatly packed and playable on the iPhone. It’s a near identical port of the one found on the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP. Comparing to some of its counterparts, it’s filled with eye catching graphics that ranks in between the two popular portable consoles. The obvious lack of physical buttons on the iPhone makes for some interesting control schemes that work well once you get adjusted to them. Even the Nintendo DS’s stylus based mini-games have been meticulously tweaked in order to mend well with the iPhone’s touch screen. Although screenshots of the game can’t do justice, you can check out Touch Arcade’s first impression video that showcases the iPhone’s graphical prowess. You can download the game through the App Store with a decent price tag of $10 – definitely worth the money to keep you entertained on the go.
